I always read that indeterminate bell peppers and tomatoes do not need early fruit removed. But so many times I have seen one fruit grow large while the plant languishes. In the usual fashion, my tomatoes with either small fruits had far more vegetative growth, and had flowers whereas the plants with tomatoes had no flowers and less vegetative growth, despite being ostensibly large varieties.
